The Busiest Semester.

Hey everyone, I'm now in my 3rd trimester and it is eating me up slowly. This trimester would probably be the busiest semester for most of us so far. Besides taking 6subjects, I have to handle a club event as well. For the first time, my assignment group had our very FIRST discussion on the very FIRST day of the sem! "GREAT"!! Here will be a short list of my busy schedule for this trimester.

1. International Trade and Policy :- Our lecturer Mr Abdul Halim is being so "kind" to us for giving us the opportunity to organize a seminar. Basically, our class will be divided into 10 groups consist of 11members each. Each group is given a topic and held a seminar on the week stated. Now here's what killing us!! The first group who are going to held the seminar will be in WEEK 4. Yes, week 4. Today is already week 1 and the lecturer have yet to give us our topic not until this coming Friday. So whichever unfortunate group that got the first few weeks will be in deep shit. In addition, as easy as it may seem, our lecturer expect us to conduct a seminar as professional as the ones conducted outside such as some Global Economic seminar at PWTC. Try to beat that! That's how tough our assignments are... easier said than done... if he's kind enough to give us $$$, there weren't be any problem for us to organize a seminar as big as the Global Economic seminar. Not forgetting how clubs seek for sponsorship a semester before the actual event and now we are given 3weeks. Minus this week and chinese new year week which left us 1 week. As "generous" as my lecturer may seem, he'll never satisfy for not torturing us before the CNY. Now, we gotta rush for a event proposal to pass up next wednesday and who the hell is going to MMU on CNY eve! crap.

2. Social Dance Classes.- Apart from another 5 assignments which I didn't want to mention, I have to club stuff to do. So anyone out there who are interested in social dance, please do refer to me alrite? Basically there will be two levels for this semester.

Level 1 : Monday, 9.30-11pm ( Cha-cha, Tango, Waltz )
Level 2 : Tuesday, 9.30-11pm ( Rumba, Samba, Jive Rock )
FREE Demo class : 18th Feb, 8am at Studio A.
Anyone that interested please do come and join us during the demo class. There will be a demonstration of the dances that will be taught. Exclusive* if anyone wants to watch Kelvin G dance, do come and support too! LOL. *

3. Japanese Cultural Night
- I just put myself in a busy mode again as I just joined for the dance division for Japanese Cultural Night. Probably I am going to pull out as I dun think I have enough time to allocate for this event. Of course I would love to join if possible, but seems like this sem is not the right time to do so. I have tonnes of work to be done and studies to do too. Plus it requires me to stay back almost every night which I can't because of parents, studies, assignments and some rest time.

4. Industrial Training
- Oh gosh oh gosh!! I have not submit my application yet. I better to it fast than to delay till the very last minute. Now lets hope Holiday Inn Hotel or Loreal will accept my application; and if I succeed to get Loreal, then I will be in a dilemma to choose. Accomodation.... expenses.. transport... kill me!

5. Assignments
- I have another 5 subjects's assignments to do. arghhhhhhh.....
Please please please help me through this semester with smooth sailing. prays hard*

" Tidak ada apa-apa liquid yang memabukan boleh dibekalkan atau dijual kepada seseorang in bawah umur 18 tahun ".
Fuh~ It takes one long breath to finish reading the sentence. Why can't that make it simpler for example, " minuman beralkohol tidak boleh dijual kepada sesiapa in bawah umur 18tahun ". Besides, it wrote " tidak ada apa-apa liquid yang memabukan boleh dibekalkan ..... ", which means if anyone below 18 drink that so called liquid yang memabukan and still don't get drunk, he/she are allowed to buy it right? lol.

This is A Post About An Egg.

This is my story of being an EGG.

Once upon a time, I was happily resting in my nest. Suddenly, someone blind folded me with newspaper.. that was then I knew I was KIDNAPPED!! It was a long journey.. I was scared as I have Achluophobia- fear of darkness. It was pitch black and I couldn't see anything at all. I freak out!! Soon... I felt asleep... zzzzz.
The moment I woke up, I saw brightness... I was once cheerful again to see the light and there I was beside the sink staring at a girl at her 20's with her camera hp points towards me. *snap snap* Ooohh... she's just taking a picture of me. :)

I stood there for at least a minute or two before she placed me somewhere else. Finally, the snapping sound of the camera stopped. Fuh~ finally she's done with me :)

How wrong was I, I was then placed on the floor with another little creature that look exactly like me, just that he's pretty small... MUCH MUCH smaller than I do. *Snap snap* She took our pictures again. Somehow I made friend with the tiny little creature... his name is egg. I can't believe we shared the same name! It's just that he's a chicken egg and I am an ostrich egg.

I have this weird feeling about that girl who's taking my picture. She seems sooo weird.. She started to get so anxious about getting a picture with me and chicky egg.
Now I really think that she's getting weirder and weirder.
Because... she kept on ordering his dog to stay and take a picture with me and chicky egg. I think that the dog kinda fed up with the girl but still he stays obediently and posed.

As I stood still, the dog kept on complaining to me about how crazy this girl would be.

Jay : Why do I always have to do this kinda stuff... sigh
Lene : Jay Jay!! look here look here.. jay jay!! smile smile.. * snap snap *

But still... All I can do is listen to him and stood still.

Jay : Are u done? I'm.... I'm getting sleepy.. yawn.
Lene : Jay... come on.. look here.. here here!! *snap snap*

and I stood still again... wondering if she actually understand what the dog said and I came to a conclusion that she doesnt. How sad.

Jay : U better get this done quick before I doze off.. HURRY UP!!
Lene : Mummy! jay jay stupid la.. he close his eyes oni... *attract him by waving my hands*

I got kinda annoyed and I think that she's crazy!

Jay : 5....4......3......2.......zzzzzzzzz

Lene : Ish... he close his eyes! bloody hell... dun wanna take d la. *put the egg back*

Finally, I'm done. The crazy girl has finally put me back and flew towards her room saying that she's going to upload the pictures or something.

With that, chicky egg became my best friend and we live together happily ever after.

Back to the Past.

Just moments ago, I thought this post will be about Chris Daughtry but somehow it turns out to be none other than the King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley!! Lydia and I got so into him just an hour ago... been looking for his songs in Youtube, his pictures and stuff. A legend like Elvis will always stays in everyone's heart even if he died before I was born, but his songs leaves a deep impact in our souls. It is amazing to see how Elvis can be so in fame for almost 20years or more, and how his music still playing after 30years of his death. He is truly the legend in the music industry and I feel that his songs will remain for decades to go. Not even that, he seems to be a fashion icon as well, a fashion leader who started with side burn, bellybottoms, cat suits and the whole rock&roll thing. He sure did quite alot to carve his name in everyone's heart. Besides, he even had an absolutely stunning wife, with a beautiful daughter. With his blossom singing career, acting career, stunning wife, gorgeous daughter, millions of fans around the world, a fashion icon, what more can he wish for? Unfortunately, on 1977 Elvis left the world but according to many fans out there, he is still alive....... in their heart. Awwww.. Just in case many of you didn't know, Elvis has a twin bro but died while was a baby. Imagine if his twin was alive, there will be two Elvis! two King of Rock and Roll! two legends! Or maybe its not like how it seems. I adore Elvis... he's hawt... no girls can resist him. Too bad I wasn't born in his era. Cis! But I'm proud that I still get to enjoy his music until today :)

Clothes Hunting.

CNY is coming, coming in 2weeks time. OMG! I haven't even found a new top, skirts or pants yet. Is it really necessary for me to get new clothes just for the sake of CNY? I know it's not essential but.. but.... I want new clothes. Now the problem is, where can I find it? Stupid question, shopping malls of course! Unfortunately, this time around there nothing that caught my eye yet. Not even one that I will go " wowwwwwwww.... I want that! ". Pretty sad huh. Someone, throw me some nice clothes. I'll deeeply appreciate it if you pass me a dress like this. ( look below ).
Woolala.. I simply love this dress. :)
and also this pair of earings.. beautiful!

Anyway, I did bought a pair of heels in Sungai Wang. I love it alot at first sight but now... I kinda regret that I bought it. LOL. Oh dear, I'll get some scolding from alex soon. :p Probably I'll go for another pair of heels if I have some additional cash after getting my new clothes. :)

Oh ya, I did came across a top just now and again I like it when I first saw it. At one moment, I like the design. Another moment, I feel weird at the sleeve part. In the end, I didn't buy it and I'm glad that I didnt. Hmm.. Looks like I need to exercise a little bit more to lose up my fats at my thighs.

A good hair day, keeps adelene happy all day!
p/s: i simply love my hair tonite. :)

Holiday~

After a week of non-stop cleaning and painting, I finally get to rest and enjoy my holiday for 3days! This time, I'm travelling all alone from Melaka to Kajang. :) First time okay.... because my parents never allow me to travel alone, but there's some white lies told to go alone this time. :P sorry..

Travelling alone wasnt that scary after all since I know what bus to take, which train to sit to get to Kajang. So I bought a bus ticket to Seremban, and took KTM to Kajang! Yea! mission complete. I reached there safe and sound. :) Thanks daeren for sending me to central early in the morning.

Day 1 :

11.30am : Reach Kajang, called Alex up to pick me.
12.30pm : Had lunch at his house.
1.00 pm : Went to Mid Valley for shopping and movies.
6.00pm : Reach Kajang
7.00pm : Had dinner.
10.30pm : Went out with alex's friend for yam char and snooker. heee

* Game plan is extremely nice!! Funny yet touching as well.. hehee.. recommended to watch guys! two thumbs up.

Day 2 :

Today, we planned to spend the remaining two days in KL. So Alex called his aunt up to ask if she has any extra room in Time Square. Here, I sincerely thank her for the hospitality and all the meals she belanja. It's not cheap okay... every meal cost around RM80-100. I aso felt so bad for that.

Us waiting for the train at Kajang.

Time Square
Later that night, Alex's aunt and her bf brought us to a chinese restaurant at Pavillion for dinner. The dish was nice but the bill was even nicer! We ordered Peking duck, vegetable with prawn, pork, fried rice and soup.

Cost : RM 128++

On the way back to Time Square, we drop by Hagen Daaz to treat ourselves an ice cream. 2 scoop = RM16!! So freaking expensive. Imagine how many Choco Top I can buy at McD.

After dinner we went back to our rooms to clean up and prepare to dress up to club. Clubbing on weekdays is a little pathetic especially when you don't go with a big group of friends. Hence, we moved from Heritage bar to Loft, to Aloha and finally to Ruums jungle. And again... Alex's aunt paid for the bottle of Jack D as well... rm 300 ++ but we get good service. :) The environment isnt too bad.. just the people there are much elder than us. Mind you.. alex's aunt looks MUCH MUCH younger than her age. Even if she's at her 30's she looks like 20. lol. We ended up finishing only half a bottle of Jack D because only Alex can drink, I drank around 6 glasses while his aunt isnt much a drinker. That's the end of day 2.

Day 3 :

Had Bak Kut Teh and fish head for brunch near Imbi. It was superb!! especially the fish... nice nice... especially for a fish hater like me. The Bakuteh is nice as well... yum. After that, we went Sungai Wang to shop for my CNY shoe. Took us hours to find a nice shoe but it is a little costly la. Back to our rooms, rest, watch some tv and nap again. Lol. I was suppose to go back at late evening, but unfortunately Alex's aunt had a client to meet therefore extended the time. By the time it ends is already 7.50pm, and I am sure I wont be able to catch the 8pm bus for sure. So, Alex went and bought a 9pm bus and headed for dinner. By the time the food are served is already 8.33pm, which means 15minutes to wallop everything into our stomach. We left the shop at 8.50pm, with a little jam at the traffic light, I missed the 9pm bus. Sigh. So, I have to wait for the next bus at 10pm to get home. The problem now is... how should I explain to my mum because she asked me not to come back late and I did lie to her that I took the 8pm bus. Sigh.. more lies ahead to break me free.

Til then, the end of my journey :)

Fair or Dark?

Moments ago, I was browsing through neXus Central after so so long where I came across this article that Siew wrote back in 2005 regarding discrimination towards darker skin women and so on.

I am not being bias or anything just because I am in the darker skin catergory, but I still can't get it what is so special or why are fairer skin girls getting all the attention? No, I am not jealous of them. In fact I don't even like to be fair in the first place and I don't see why is it necessary for girls to spend cash on expensive products just to be fair. I am not here to criticize any fair girls here okay? I am just giving out my point of view, whether you agree or not, it is just my opinion.

According to Siew's article, he listed out three theories:

Theory 1:
"The first one, I stumbled upon at the CNN website. They think that fairness is a sign of the woman's affluence because only rich women were able to stay indoors and away from the sun. An average peasant woman would have to work the paddy fields. Therefore, fair skin became desirable because it proved you were rich. It's something like driving around in an exotic car. Fair skin was a symbol of status."

- I think that this theory no longer applies in our modern era as fair women no longer symbolize status anymore. Not all fair women are rich, and not all dark women are poor. I won't be arguing why fair is bad, I am here to tell why I never like to be fair. Women nowadays are afraid to be under the sun till the extend they will start whining, complaining and worrying about their complexion. Called it a stereotype or whatever, I always have this perception that fair women doesnt like sports. All they do is stay at home, hide themselves away from the sun as far as they can. On the contrary, darker complexion girls is more attractive as they always look like those sunny, healthy kinda girl. I am sure most guys nowadays prefer their gf to share the same hobby as them, go for sports together with them rather than staying at home or dating in shopping malls. :)

Theory 2:
"The other theory may sound a little absurd. We shun dark skin because it reminds us of darkness. Humans will always prefer light to dark because we are more vulnerable in the dark. It could be that somehow, we subconsciously link dark skin to actual darkness."

- Well, I do not have any comment about this. It just sounds so ridiculuous. I wonder if people at this generation still have this thought in their mind. Don't be surprise, many older generations po po and kong kong may have this thought carry from the past generation till today.

Theory 3:
"The last one reason is that people want to be something they are not. They want to be different within the community. That is why Asians want to be fair, Caucasians want to be tanned and the African Americans desire straight hair. "

- I couldn't agree more with this, people tend to be different, people loves changes, people loves to be dramatic, people loves attention! Perhaps this is why Asian always look upon their celebrities who are fair and aim to have their fair complexion. On the other hand, the europeans thinks that tanne skin are stunning and goes for sun bathing every summer or artificial skin tanning. Come to think about it, silly isnt it.

At the end of the day, it is still up to the community to think whether fairer women is more beautiful than darker women. No matter how the dark complexion asian women tries to dress up, in the eyes of men, they will never ever look as stunning as a fair complexion asian women. It is all in their mind, they already set the benchmark that a girl is consider pretty ONLY when they are fair. Accept the fact and you guys don't deny this fact!

Happy Holidays!

Finally, my sufferings ended this evening 5pm. No more exam, no more books, no more online notes, no more scribbled notes, no more headache, no more stress, no more sleepless night, no more rushing for chapters, no more adrenaline rush, no more worries!

Holiday is a good thing for my brain, but I never really like holidays at all. I think I have mentioned how I dislike holidays every single sem, no difference for this either UNLESS there are something interesting that I can do just like the sem break before. :) Anyway, let's hope that my sem break aren't going to be a boring one.. pleaseeeeeee.

Before the sem break starts, mum had already ordered me to clean the house for CNY, do housework, and paint my house! I love painting.. so nevermind la. Hahaa.. but what after that? I usually don't meet my friends during the entire 3weeks. Not to say my friends are evil for not calling me out, is just that it's kinda useless for them to ask me since everytime my answer will be " hmmm i want to go out but i cant la.. parents.. u know.. they doesnt like it ".

Enough of my complains about holidays even before it actually starts. I'm here to wish those who still have their final paper tomorrow "GOOD LUCK!!!" and "Happy Holiday" to everyone! Do enjoy and make full used of ur holiday as much as possible ya. Never be like me rotting at home... oohh... I found one mushroom on my head d... by the end of the third week, my head will be full of mushrooms. Til then, chao!

When MSN Breaks Down..

Lately MSN is getting really annoying............. I dunno what happen with it but all I know is that most of our messages can't get through. Two days back when I was chatting with Kirks, this problem occured. MSN seems to love me so much because all the messages I send managed to be delivered to the recipients. Unfortunately MSN doesn't like Kirks at all and all his messages he sent to me bounced back to him.

Feeling frusfrated struggling to finish up our chapters before the exam the next morning, plus the additional stress coming from MSN which doesn't allow us to chat to reduce our stress level made all of us go crazaaaaaaaay! Hence, Kirk's came up with an idea to chat. :)

Sign language!! :)
Since my messages can get to him, and I do not have a webcam, so this is the ultimate solution for the annoying MSN.

He was trying to say : I wanna kill myself!!!!! Stupid MSN!

This action means "WTF with MSN!!! GRRRR"
About this.. hmmm..

*Kirks eating maggie mee*

Me : Wahhh.. sedapnyaaa... what are you eating?

Kirks : * showing his bowl of Maggie *

Me : What flavour wor...

Kirks : * showing the note above *

" RAMEN. SIAL! SYOK!!!"

and that's how we communicate when MSN being sooo annoying!

Innovation Management

Last sememster during my Innovation Management lecture, my lecturer Dr.David asked us one question.

Dr David : Class, remember, you have to always think outside the box. Now tell me, what can you innovate with a normal plastic bag you got from JJ before I reveal the answer.

Hands after hands flew high up in the air with various answer like...

Student 1 : Errrmm...kite sir! kite!
Student 2 : Sir sir! parachute!!
Student 3 : sir.. tuuu.. you can use to cover your head when going to be sentenced to death. (LOL)

and so on so forth.

While they were discussing about this, I was talking to Lydia, Crystal and Sue May..
Me : Hey.. I tell you one thing la, do you know what I used to do with plastic bags when I was young?
Lydia : errr.. no.. what?
Me : I used plastic bag to make a swimming suit... shy*
Lydia : *burst into laughter* Siao ah you! hahahahaa...
Me : Ya ma.. you just need to cut the two ends of the plastic bag oni.. really leee... serious..

Dr David : Alrite class, all of your answers are not innovative enough! The answer is....

Then he showed this picture below

A swimsuit!!!
LOLX... All of us burst in to laugher especially me!

Me : Oooi Lydia.. see see... I'm that creative when I was young okay.
Lydia : Then why don't you tell out the answer jus now wor!
Me : Siao meh.. so embarassing... hahaha

So that's what actually happened few months back during Innovation Management class and I truely agree that people are more creative when they were younger. All sorts of things can be made by using recycle stuff.

I remembered the first Barbie dress I atttempted to sew was in standard 5 when our Kemahiran Hidup teacher taught us how to sew a dress by using threat and needle la, not by sewing machine. Cool rite. Since that, I've been sewing some dresses for my Barbie :) There was once I do not have any cloth to sew a dress. Being a rebellious girl, I snipped off the cloth of my ribbon hair clip which has the colour blue and maroon, plus the cloth material is those stretchable ones. In the end after an hour or so... TADA...

Me : Mummy!! nice anot nice anot.. I sew one le!!
Mummy : WHere did you get the cloth?!
Me : Errrr....... my ribbon hair clip...
Mummy : HAH! you...
Me : Aiya.. mummy part of the cloth on the clip came of ma, so might as well I used to cloth to sew rite?
Mummy : *swt*

Incredibly, my dress fits my Barbie :) and I'm so proud that Barbie wore my dress. :P :P
