Nodame Cantabile

A recommendation Japanese drama to all the music lovers ( non-music lovers too ), presenting..... " Nodame Cantabile ".

Synopsis of the entire drama :
Based on the hit comic book by Tomoko Ninomiya, this is a fun-filled quirky romantic story of 2 very opposite people.
Megumi Noda, or “Nodame” is a piano student at Momogaoka College of Music. An extremely talented pianist who wants to be a kindergarten teacher, she prefers playing by ear rather than reading the music score. She is messy and disorganized, takes baths several days apart and loves to eat, sometimes stealing her friend’s lunchbox when it is filled with delicacies.
Shinichi Chiaki, is Momogaoka’s top student. Born into a musical family, he is talented in piano and violin and has secret ambitions to become a conductor. An arrogant multi-lingual perfectionist who once lived abroad in the music capitals of the world as a young boy, he feels mired in Japan because of a childhood phobia.
They meet by accident. Nodame quickly falls in love, but it takes much longer for Chiaki to even begin to appreciate Nodame’s unusual qualities. Their relationship causes them both to develop and grow. Because of Nodame, Chiaki transfers into the Conductor Division, leads a student orchestra and begins to have a broader appreciation of people's musical abilities. Because of Chiaki, Nodame faces her fears and enters a piano competition. Opportunities open up as both begin taking risks, stretching themselves far more than they ever thought possible.
Ueno Juri as Nodame

Tamaki Hiroshi as Chiaki. ( oooo... suki! )

Well, as describe above, throughout the entire drama music lovers are able to enjoy the finest piece of most of the famous classical music range from Beethoven's Piano Sonata No 14, Moonlight Sonata, Beethoven Symphony No 9, Mozart Sonata for two pianos, Rachmaninoff's piano Concerto, Chopin's - Inpromptu to Brahms's Symphony No1. Now I realy want to watch an ochestra at least once where you can really enjoy and feel those musics. Yeap, I might not know anything about instruments or what but that doesn't mean I won't know how to appreciate those master piece alrite? Even during my drama marathon this morning, certain music that were played did make me feel something... something that I can't describe in words and ( dunno whether to be ashame or what ) I cried. yea.. Somehow, I just feel it as though they are trying to convey happiness or sadness through musics. Probably that's how people like Beethoven, Chopin and Mozart convey their message, expressed their feelings in every touch of their fingers in their master piece.

1 Down, 3 more to go!

I'm talking about assingments and presentation again. I know all of u are getting sick of reading my recent post about assignments assignments assignments. Guess u all have to just bare with me then because my life wasn't filled with excitements and dramas for the past few weeks. Today, we did our business plan presentation for 5MINUTRES ONLY!!!! We are supposed to have 20minutes to present it. Due to the shortage of time, our lecturer cut down the time to 15minutes. Fair enough. For your information, there are 4groups that going to present today. As expected, the first group took half an hour to finish their presentation which left only 30minutes for 3groups to present. How selfish!! Nevermind, our lecturer then cut down the time again to 10minutes for each group. The second group took 15minutes to finish while the third group took another 15minutes, which also means that times up! There's not enough time for us to present anymore. However, we still insist to present today and all the classmate is supportive enough to be late for their next class just to watch our presentation. ( typical mmu students, we are willing to go late for class at any circumstances. kekekeke ) Anyway, we did our fastest presentation ever!! 5minutes is our record. We present it in 5minutes ONLY!!! Not really happy about it though and we felt that it's soooo unfair for us to get such limited time. Dang! whatever la..

All of us looks so focus here.... Look at the intensity in our eyes.
Yes...all of us are commited in this bakery wannabe game :P
Here's Lydia trying to teach Jac
Our Hawaiian flower lace for our business plan presentation

Now, I gotta rush for my Financial Management assignments that's due this Friday and I have another quiz tomorrow which I dun even know which chapter is coming out. Damn. Dun care la.. I'm really sick today. Maybe I'll go to bed early and study tomorrow then. After this assignment, I have to discuss for our debate which falls next tuesday. Have to prepare the report and so on. The motion of the debate is " Excellent certificate ensures success in the future ". So, which is better?? Anyone please feel free to comment okie? I really need ur help in this. Thanks! By the way, I really think that our group isn't going to win the debate afterall. I'm against a good speaker here and as I concerned, I can't debate at all! I wouldn't say that I'm really suck in presentation but I can assure you that debate is not at my favour. So behold! We'll see what can I do next week. Hope I do well. :) :) After that, I still have a mock meeting to do. Have no idea what's this about. We'll just wait and see when the times come then. Till then, adios!

Have A Break...

Argghh..... stretch* Finally, I got the chance to have a break and grasp for air for a moment after a long hectic, stress and tiring weeks. Don't ask about my exam, it sucks to the max. I think I did very bad this time. Sigh... shouldn't have taken marketing for granted. Although it is in a MCQ format, this subject really is not as easy as it seems to be. According to Dae ren, only 10% of the student in his class passed that subject and he is one of them la. Hahaha.. Hew.. SO scary. Which mean only 20 person pass out of 200 students? Oh my! Now I'm getting even more nervous about my result. Anyway, I'm glad that my mid terms over. At least I have one whole day to rest before I get into the battle field again next week. Yeap, financial management assignment due next friday, business plan presentation next tuesday and statistic quiz on Wednesday. Right... more work to do.

Anyway, let's not talk about works anymore or else everyone will get bored here. Frankly speaking, I really got nothing to blog about lately unless you wanna hear all my whines la. I think better not. Hmmm... okay, I'll just talk about events happening around MMU lately. Well, last few weeks, we had 2 proms - Lost Masquerate and Trinite ( the last temptation ). Nah, I didnt go for any of them this year. On the contrary, I lended most of my evening dresses to my friends. Hmmm.. I think I'm capable enough to rent dresses for events huh. Hahaha. This week, CLC and FIST is just like a mini jonker. They sell everything range from food to drinks. So, u can imagine how a pasar malam will be like in MMU. Of coz, we, students are soooooooooo happy and facinate about it. Why?? More food!! FOOD = HAPPINESS. :) grins* Then last few days, some company came and promote the latest Windows Vista!! Woohoo!! And it's not fair because ONLY FIST students will get it for free! Hump! This weekend, MMU Chess Club will be holding a MMU Chess Open Tournament. Currently there are about 100 over participants. Wee! Gonna be a tiring day man.. So that's it la.. got nothing much to write here. ciao.

Hectic.

Finally I got the time and something to post about today. These few weeks is filled with assignments, mid terms, more assignments and more midterms. Sigh. Guess that's the life of a university student. Frankly speaking, I felt that this sem is the most busy and hectic semester compared to my previous one. All mid term and assignments due date are cramp together which make many of us kinda stressed out and pissed off.

On last saturday, crystal, lydia, jacqueline ( the kepo one ) and I decided to go to Su May's house to finish our accounting assignment. All of us were pretty stress out due to some reason. Not going to say anything here. Anyway, we still go on even without one of our members here. We started about 11.30am. In the mean time, we do have lots of fun talking, gossiping, kacau-ing and of coz doing our assignments. We had more fun especially with a non-group member a.k.a the kepo yet very very helpful friend of ours, Jac. Well, everyone knows Jac is the active one and smartest one even she's one year younger than us. So the room is full of laughter, more laughter and more more laughter. hahahaa.

Around afternoon, suddenly Su May's ..... errr... maid?.... no no.. the aunty that came to clean her house knock her room door....

Aunty : U din off the fire ah??!!
Su May : OMG!! Shit shit shit..
Aunty : What shit shit shit ( oh my.. u gonna hear how she pronounce it man.. she's around 60plus d. LOL )
Su May : OMG!! The pot... die la... my parents sure scold me la... ( and this goes on and on til her mum comes home ).

BUT before that, we the kepo ones decided to have a look at the pot. Guess what we have here?? TADA!!!!

The cover handle melted....mellllllllllllltttttt....

and then we check out the pot. See the burn paper thingy inside? It's actually tea leaves.

LOL. We laugh and laugh and laugh and we know that Su May is panic and scared now. Felt so bad for laughing at her. Jac even suggested one thing so that Su May's parents wont scold her. Jac ask her to kneel in front her room door while pulling both of her ears and said " Sorry mummy.... " Hahahaa... she didnt do la of coz. Anyway, her parents didnt really scold her tat bad. Thanks to us, coz we are around ma, sure have to give face abit one. kekekkekee.

After that incident, we went back to work. Do do do and do till......................

XXX : OMG!! SHIT!

Yes, another incident happened. The house suddenly blackout. No electricity. Damn.

Lydia : die le! we didnt save our work le!! I type alot le! how how...

Now everyone got upset and frusfrated. Well, lydia claimed that it's a sign for us to go for lunch. LOL. So, we brought our books and laptop and headed to Malacca Club to have our FREE lunch. Thanks lydia for being a member there. :) :) Now we look like a working women, carrying a laptop and doing work at the restaurant. hahaha.. After our lunch, Su May's mum called and told us that the electricity came back. Woohoo! so, we went back to her house and we continue doing our work till 7pm. What a tiring day!

Basically Sunday it's almost the same exclude the incident that happened the day before. Just that we started a little bit later which is at 2pm and finished at 6pm. NOPE! We haven finish our assignments yet due to some problems la. Just hope that by tomorrow we are able to finish it so that we have time to study our marketing. That's about it la. Sorry for any spelling or grammatical error here okay? In a rush to go to bed... lol... goodnite everyone. ZZZZZ

ROOooooAAARrrrrr..... ( A Trip to the ZOO )

For once I felt I did something worth and feeling happy throughout my 20 years of life. It all goes back to last sunday, april fool day, where we ( the careclub members ) decided to bring the orphanes from the salvation army to have some fun. The " all-time " favourite place for kids.. The Melaka ZOO.

Despite the bad weather ( pouring cats and dogs ) for nearly 2 and half hour, we insisted to bring the orphanes to the Zoo. We reached at the Salvation Army Orphanages about 9.30am and were greeted with a warm welcome by the two caretakers ( both of them flew all the way from america jus to take care of these kids. ) and the orphanes. Tell you what, those orphanes have more manners than most of us here u know. When they see us, they smile happily and greet us " Halloooo!! Good morning!!! ". My heart went "Awwwww.. so sweet of them ".

All the kids hopped into the bus, and here we gooooooooooooo!! Let's go to the zoo.. lala~ Most of the orphanes here always gain for attention due to their background. Therefore, you won't be surprise that they automatically hold your hands and cling to you all the way in the zoo. Really pity them that they dun get the loves from their parents. :( Now, think how lucky we are here to have parents by your side, guide you, teach you to be a betterman.

The kids were excited seeing all those animals!

enjoying the live show in the zoo... the kids were scared by SNAKES! LOL

my group of kids that I looked after. Don't we look adorable! :P:P

They having their drawing session of their favourite animals

At the mean time, we took the chance to have a picture together. :)

All of them enjoys feeding the elephants.

Say cheeeeeeeeseeeee!!
Took our last shot in the Zoo...

All of us were pretty tired walking the whole zoo and I'm really surprise how some smaller kids manage to walk all way long. Of course they were some who really can't take it, got tired, sulk and cry. Ouch! Sujj, huan ren, huan ren's fren and wei pin backpacked a few kids that were tired. I didn't know Huan Ren can really carry them throughout the journey. Well, good training before you become a mother huan ren! LoL.

In return of their tireness, we treated the kids McDOnalds!!!!!!! All of them were so happy about it! According to Phil ( the american caretaker ), even an ice cream can make them happy. See, they don't get to eat these very often you know unlike us.

Overall, it is a tiring and enjoyable day with 30 orphanes and 11adult. I really give my full respect and salute the caretakers for able and willing to take care of all these 30 orphanes. Imagine us with 30kids... headache. By the end of the day, all of us made a conclusion of getting ONLY 2child maximum when we get married. hahahahaa.... taking care of children isn't that easy after all. Now think how much your parents had contribute to you!

APRIL's FOOL!!!

1st April, a good time for prankster to show out their pranking skills by fooling people around them. Of coz I also want to be part of it!! Well, it started off pretty bad actually, I didnt manage to fool most of my friends. :( All they go was " yaya.. april fools rite? ". Damn. Worst of all, I'd been fool by kids just now, to be exact orphanes. One by one, they fool me this big fella here. All they did was a simple prank " aunty aunty ( yes they call us aunty and uncles... sigh), look there!! ", and I turn and they yelled "april's fool!!". Gosh, another one from another kid. How sad..

Then in McDonald's when all of us were waiting for our food, I tried to fool Alex.

( Alex was lying his head on the table until.... )
Me : Dear! aunty Tina call!
and he turned.
Me : April's fool!! ahahahahhahahaahahahaha
and he stared at me.
Alex : Siap you.... wait u see la!
me : Lala~ fool me if u can!

10minutes later, we were still in the conversation of fooling each other. Suddenly...
Alex : Hey! why the bus come so early one? suppose to be 3pm le, not 2pm!
and I turned and look for the bus... eh?? no bus... I turned back.
Alex : smiling cheesily * April's fool!!!
Me : ish....
Alex : Dear dear... food comes d! wee..
Me : izzit?? ( and I turned again )
Alex : April's Fool again!!! Muahahahahahahahhaaa...
Me : GRRRRRRRR.......

Twice in one row! Gosh... Am I such a fool??? :(:( Anyway, we all have fun with today's outing with the orphanes today. It was tiring and great experience to bring more happiness to the kids. Not going to post about it today, probably tomorrow or something when I get the pictures from Alex k?? :) Happy April's Fooling everyone ya! 35minutes to go before you have to wait for another year to come.
